It Takes One To Love?

Sad Lover. Picture by Elijah O'Donnell

We are different
You crave for me only when you're free. When there's nothing to do and nobody more important to attend to.
I yearn for you, spending moments with you when I should be busy. Squeezing everything else into times you choose not to be available for me. To claim we are in love is a myth my darling; I am in love.

We are different
You've never had to miss a thing for me. I've been unreliable since you kissed my lips; postponing everything else deserving of my attention. I prioritize you to heaven. To claim you love me is a tale my darling; I am a fairytale.

We are different
You give what will hurt least in case our love does not stand the test of time. You guard your heart against me, not to lose anything to love you keep questioning the genuineness of.
I risk every strand in my heart to give everything to love. To never look back to the possibility you might not be deserving of me. How do you claim to give what you keep holding back?

We are different because you are special
For teaching me, I’m worth more than I sell myself a slave to love.

You are special, my lady, but your claim of love is deniable.

Sincerely yours before,
The one you should have spent most of your time with.
